[7] CONFIGURABLE OUTPUT CONNECTIONS. Allows the controller to configure outputs via programmable options. There are more than 80 options for each programmable output.

 

[1] POWER SUPPLY CONNECTION. The AMF controller is supplied by the battery of the engine. The controller can work in the range 6 up to 36VDC. The AMF controller is very well protected against spikes generated by switching heavy inductive load during the start and stop sequences of the engine.

[2] RS485 SERIAL INTERFACE CONNECTION. The controller supports the MODBUS protocol that will allow you to control and monitor the generator from a remote location.

[3] CANBUS SERIAL INTERFACE & CONFIGURABLE INPUTS. The BeK3 controller is a very flexible controller able to operate with any kind of engine. You can use a SAEJ1939 compatible engine or standard (mechanical regulation) engines. The controller interfaces with resistive sensors.

[4] GENERATOR VOLTAGE & MAINS VOLTAGE CONNECTIONS. The controller works in a 3-phase configuration up to 600Vac permanently. Protection fuses are required to protect the cables. Controller inputs feature high impedance (about 2 Mega Ohm).

[5] REAR COVER GROUND CONNECTIONS. The controller is protected by a special steel cover. This protects the controller from electromagnetic fields generated by switching the MAINS & GENERATOR circuit breakers.

[6] CURRENT TRANSFORMER CONNECTIONS. In order to protect  the all system from overload, these transformers provide current measurements to the AMF controller.

AMF Controller Connection

This is the typical connection wiring diagram of the BeK-ZERO AMF controller. In case the number of outputs provided by the controller is not enough for your application, we can supply the Be15 extension board. In this way you can get additional 16-dry contacts output relays. You can associate, for each output, as much as more than 70 options.

We recommend that you connect the current transformers after the mains and generator changeover breakers. This will allow you to read the current when the load is connected to the power utility. You can set a warning or a shutdown limit for the current. In this case the BeK-ZERO AMF controller will activate the alarm only when the load is supplied by the generator.

We recommend to use contactors with mechanical interlock. This solution, together with electrical interlock, will avoid back-feeding in case of troubles of the controller or the driver relays. 

Fuel Solenoid or Stop Solenoid

THE BEK-ZERO FEATURES PROGRAMMABLE SETTING FOR FUEL SOLENOID (ENERGIZED TO RUN) OR STOP SOLENOID (ENERGIZED TO STOP. MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY IN YOUR HANDS.

The BeK-ZERO AMF controller has a special circuit to supply the the output relays. This helps to hold the relays during crank. As a matter of fact the BeK-ZERO controller can survive for 500mS without battery supply.

 

You are required to use automotive relay rated at 12Vdc in case the engine has a 12V battery. When using a 24V battery, you are required to use 24V rated automotive relays.
