AMF Controller Generator Parameters

 These two tables contain all necessary AMF controller generator parameters of the BeK3 module. On the left side you see the name of the parameters indicated on the graphic display. Next column indicates the range of the parameters followed by the available options. A short description is provided as well.

Define operating limits for the Generator. If a parameter is out of the limits, the Be-K3 triggers the alarm and can open the KG and stop the engine.

 

Settings of voltages are intended  ‘Phase to Phase’; for single Phase operation voltage is intended  ‘Phase L1 to N’.

 

Under V & Under Hz work only if the contactor of the Generator is closed.

 

The option ON in  [ALTERNATOR FAIL] parameter, will shutdown the engine if the parameters of the Generator are outside of the operating range for at least 300 seconds from engine start.

To monitor the kW, you can program two outputs with option [10] and [11] (see Table 9.08A). The outputs energize if kW  is outside limits and reset if kW is within limits. A bypass delay should be programmed according to the characteristics of the LOAD.

AMF controller generator parameters

In addition to the AMF controller generator parameters, the BeK3 allows you to set up the under speed protection. It works in this way. After starting the engine, the BeK3 will close the generator circuit breaker. This will happen supposing the generator parameters are  stable within the setting limits. Once the generator circuit breaker is closed, if the rotational speed (the measurement is provided by a pick-up of mathematically calculated from the frequency) falls under the 'Under Speed' limit for a pre-configured time, the BeK3 AMF controller will open the generator circuit breaker and will shut down the engine following a pre-set cooling down time. You can set up the Under speed protection in the 'ENGINE PARAMETERS' menu of the Bek3.
