This automatic genset controller is a large step forward for such a small and extremely flexible controller module. In all cases where you need extra feature we really recommend that you consider the Be124 Centurion. This is simply unique! It includes a Data Logger and a Data transient recorder able to record the variations of Temperature, Oil Pressure, Speed for the last 30 days.  It includes a full 3-phase generator protection relay. This automatic genset controller provides the user with visual indication by means of LEDs and a LCD Display for all parameters and alarms. The Be124 genset controller features RS485 and CANBUS communication too. You can connect any SAE-J1939 compatible engine. Easy to make an high performance generator auto start by simply adding some automotive low-cost relay.

ABOUT AUTOMATIC GENSET CONTROLLER

What is and Automatic Genset Controller (by now on simply: 'AGS') and why we should use it..
The main function of an AGS is to automatically control and protect a generating set. This is accomplished by using pre-defined parameters to control and protect the engine. The Automatic Genset Controller manages various sources: level switches, pressure switches, climate control systems, mains failure detection relays or simply remote switches.  The AGS releases the user from boring manual activities. A main feature of an AGS, anyway, is to provide a full manual control of the system. This could be useful in emergency situations or when you need to take priority over the automatic system.
An AGS should include the following programmable parameters:

START DELAY TIME  /  STOP DELAY TIME  /  PRE-LUBE TIME  / PRE-GLOW TIME  / CHOKE TIME  / CRANK VDC / CRANK VAC  / CRANK TIME  / CRANK REST TIME  / START ATTEMPTS  / CRANK HZ  / CRANK RPM .

The above parameters are normally 'factory defined', but a good AGS lets the user full access to the setting in a way to adapt the AGS to any engine any generator.

What about the hardware in terms of INPUTs?. Well minimum input lines are the following:
- 2 configurable digital inputs for start
- 2 configurable inputs for stop and emergency
- some digital inputs to protect the engine (oil pressure switch..others..)
- some analog inputs to protect the engine (temperature, fuel level...)
- analog input to monitor the charger alternator (to detect the engine running status)
- digital input (optional) to monitor a magnetic Pick-up.
