The Be28 is 3-phase Automatic Transfer Switch controller. All parameters, alarms and operating functions are indicated by means of a high-luminosity display. The ATS controller Be28 interfaces with configurable digital inputs and configurable analog inputs. The controller displays accurate measurements for Vac, Aac, Vdc, Hz and Battery Vdc. You can check the LOG EVENTS on site and have an overview of the all settings. The Be28 features MODBUS via RS485 and complies with NFPA-110 / NFPA-99. By using our TCP-IP server you can monitor and control the Be28 via INTERNET. You can interface this automatic transfer switch controller with a GSM SMS server in a way to get access via SMS.

MAKING AN ATS PANEL USING MOTORIZED CHANGEOVER

THIS IS THE OPTIMAL AND COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR ATS PANELS OVER 160KVA

The automatic transfer switch controller continuously monitors the status of the utility power (or MAINS if you will). You can set low/high limits for Mains Voltage and Frequency. When the voltage and the frequency are within the limits, the automatic transfer switch controller transfers the load to the utility power. If the voltage drops below the lower limit (or rises above the high limit), the automatic transfer switch controller will disable the Mains circuit. This prevent, after a programmable delay, a severe damage to your load. If the failure persists for a long time the automatic transfer switch controller will take care to start the generator [2]. Once again the automatic transfer switch controller does its business to check the quality of the generator voltage and frequency. To get best performances from Be28 automatic transfer switch controller, we recommend that you supply the panel by using the battery of the engine. The automatic transfer switch controller will guarantee remote control monitoring when there is no utility power. It will properly manage the automatic transfer switch when utility power or generator voltage are not stable. You can use a 12V or 24V battery. The automatic transfer switch controller features adjustable inputs & adjustable outputs providing extraordinary system flexibility.

2 BASIC WIRING DIAGRAM

COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR STANDBY APPLICATION. YOU NEED ONLY FOUR RELAYS TO ARRANGE A FULLY AUTOMATIC TANDBY CONFIGURATION.

This is the basic wiring diagram of a transfer switch panel. You are required to connect 3 relays [1] suitable for driving contactors or motorized transfer switches. You can use current transformers [4] to monitor the load on both sides: mains and generator.The Be28 feautures 3-phase inputs [6-7-8]. You can supply the BE28 from the auto start module [2]. You have large options of programmable inputs outputs. You can monitor your system via serial interface [11]. The load is supplied by generator [13] or mains [14] depending on the choosen mode of operation. In this example we use contactors [12], but you can use motorized transfer switches.

The two Be28 automatic transfer switch controllers directly communicate by means of two wires. The controllers share information about the status of the system and status of the contactors. You can choose priority for generator number  one (primary generator) and generator number two (secondary generator). In case of mains failure if a generator fails to work, the Be28 will start the auxiliary generator.

The two Be28 automatic transfer switch controllers directly communicate each other by means of a single wire. The controllers share information about the status of the system and status of the contactors. Should one MAINS fail, the primary Be28 will start the generator and connects the LOAD. In case MAINS tw0 fails, the secondary controller will instruct the ATS to supply the load. The engine will be stopped only when MAINS 1 and MAINS 2 are continuously stable for a programmaed time.
