By using the MODBUS TCP-IP SERVER  and a ROUTER you can connect a power generator to 'Internet'. The picture shows the basic configuration using a Be124 controller. The principle is applicable to all MODBUS Bernini Design controllers as well.

Connect the Be124 [1] to MODBUS TCP-IP SERVER [3] by using an RS485 cable [2] (max. 1000m). Connect the MODBUS TCP-IP SERVER [3] to a ROUTER [5] by using an Ethernet cable [4] (max 100m). Follow the instructions to configure the MODBUS TCP-IP SERVER  and to set up the ROUTER.  Follow the instruction of the Modbus TCP-IP server connection manual.  In case you want create a Local Area Network,  you can download the Modbus LAN software and follow the  Modbus TCP-IP LAN connection manual.  Finally, run the Be124 remote monitoring software on a computer connected to internet. You can remotely control your diesel generator by managing start/stop, clearing alarms, browsing instruments and so on.

In this example, you can monitor your standby generator by using Internet. You can control the status of the panel and you can transfer the load to Mains or Generator and vice versa. Connect the BeK3 controller [5] to a TCP-IP SERVER [4] by using an RS485 twisted pair cable (max. 1000m). Connect the TCP-IP SERVER [4] to a ROUTER [2] by using an Ethernet cable [3] (max 100m). Run the BEK3 Remote Monitor v1.12 on a computer (1) connected to Internet. You will be able to control your generator practically in real-time.  You can limit the access by using a password.
