NFPA 20 MANUAL MODE OF OPERATION

  Push the >MAN< button. The display will indicate the message [MANUAL]. Push the >START 1< button if you want to start the engine using the battery 1 set, otherwise push the >START 2< button until engine starts. If programmed, the Be126 may activate a [CRANK DELAY] and [PREGLOW] prior activating the starter motor.

FIRE PUMP CONTROLLER PREGLOW

 When NFPA or EN12845 mode is used, the start action is not inhibited by the engine running status. The start push buttons will always be active.

 When EPM mode is selected, the Be126 provides crank termination according to your settings: 'Belt Driven Charger Alternator' setting or 'Speed Settings'.

ENGINE WITH PRE-GLOW SHALL NOT BE USED FOR FIRE FIGHTING PROTECTION.

The picture illustrates the display screen in case you use Be126 with  a diesel engine for normal water-pump irrigation systems or common use applications. In this case the ENGINE PROTECTION MODE shall be selected.

The engine starting parameters is included in the [ENGINE PARAMETERS] menu:

  [CRANK DELAY]   [CRANK VDC]  [CRANK RPM]  [CRANK CANBUS] [STOP SOLENOID] [PREGLOW]

Once in manual mode of operation, if the engine stops for unknown reasons, the Be126 will trigger the alarm [UNEXPECTED STOP WARNING]. Once the engine is running, push the >DOWN<  arrow to open the engine instrument pages. Push the >HOME< button at any time to open the Be126 'Engine Status Page'. It provides the basic information about the engine status.

Note: NFPA 20/EN12845. Once in manual mode of operation you can enter the AUTO mode of operation by pushing the  >AUTO< button at any time.

EPM. Once in manual mode of operation you can enter the AUTO mode of operation by pushing the  >AUTO< button only if there is not an active shutdown alarm. You are required to clear the alarm in the first place. 

NOTE: NFPA 20/ EN12845.  The start push buttons are not inhibited or the start is not terminated by an ‘Engine Running Status’ in case of fire (the display in this case should indicate [START DEMAND ON]

When the engine is running in normal condition, the display indicates the message [RUNNING]; in all the other cases a page will open providing all information. Once in MANUAL mode of operation, if the engine stops for unknown reason, the Be126 will trigger the alarm [UNEXPECTED STOP WARNING]. Once the engine is running, push the >DOWN<  arrow to open the engine instrument pages. Push the >HOME< button at any time to open the Be126 'Engine Status Page' that provides you the basic information about the engine status.

NFPA 20 manual mode of operation ENGINE STOPPING

To stop the engine you are required to push the >OFF< button. The Be126 removes the power to the Fuel Solenoid (output JC-8). In case you use an ‘Energized to Run’ stop solenoid (output JC-4), you are required to set up the [STOP SOLENOID] timer (see the [ENGINE PARAMETERS] menu).By pushing  the >OFF< button you enter in the same time the OFF MODE of operation that clears all alarms and reset the system. In OFF MODE of operation you are allowed to enter the programming menu if you need to make modifications to the program or parameters. You can read the programmed parameters at any time. Simply push the  >MENU<  button; the Be126 will open the main menu. You can browse the list by using the >UP< or >DOWN< arrows. Programming is only allowed in OFF mode of operation.
