UNI EN 12845 AUTO MODE OF OPERATION

WARNING The Be126 can start the engine at anytime. Do not work on equipment, which is controlled by the Be126. When servicing the engine, disconnect the batteries and battery chargers. We recommend that warning signs be placed on equipment indicating the above.

  Push the [AUTO] push button until the yellow LED  >AUTO<  illuminates; the display will indicate the message [AUTO]. The Be126 provides remote information of mode AUTO active The engine starts when the Be126 detects a request to start from one of the following sources:

1) Pressure switch input JF-4                            2)Level switch input JF-7                           3)Analog pressure sensor JM-1

 The yellow LED LPS blinks when the pressure falls below the setting(s). The display will consequently switch the message [START DEMAND OFF] to [START DEMAND [START DEMAND ON]. The Be126 will initiate the start sequence after a [START DELAY] bypass time (see the [MISCELLANEOUS] menu). According to your settings, the engine will run at idle speed for a programmed time or it will run immediately at nominal speed.

When the engine is running, use the display arrows to browse the instruments. If you get lost in the display pages, push the >F1< button at any time: the display will open the main page (or in other words, it opens the ‘Be126 Status’ page). Depending on your settings, the Be126 may stop the engine in AUTO mode of operation after a pressure restoration. If not, you can stop the engine by entering the OFF mode of operation by pushing the OFF button. The Be126 will not stop the engine in case of alarm but it will records any warning on the internal 500 log event register. The Be126 will periodically test the engine if the scheduler is correctly programmed. During the test, the display will hold the message [SCHEDULED TEST]. The engine will stop based on your setting, but not before 20 minutes of running time. The [EVENT HISTORY] registration records in real time all sequences. You can browse the event log at any time. In case the exerciser fails to start the engine, you can investigate what happened by browsing the 500 log event register. You can also browse the diagram of the recorded water pressure.

 

UNI EN 12845 TEST FACILITY

Every time you stop the engine after an automatic start (or after an automatic starting failure shutdown), you are required to manually start the engine. The Be126 features an external push button for this purpose. The Be126 will turn on a lamp reminding you to carry out the test. The lamp reports the following test: 'OPERATE MANUAL START TEST BUTTON IF LAMP IS LIT'.

 

 UNI EN 12845  RESTARTING TEST UTILITY

When the Be126 is in AUTO mode of operation, you have to periodically carry out a test of the automatic system:

  • Push the >PUMP TEST< button.
  • The display indicates the message [TEST START].
  • The Be126 activates the drain valve to initiate a test.
  • The Be126 will start the engine when the sensor detects a drop of pressure .
  • The engine will run for 20 minutes.

When you stop the engine, the Be126 will activate the external lamp: 'OPERATE MANUAL START TEST BUTTON IF LAMP IS LIT'. You are required to start manually the engine. Once the engine is running, the Be126 will turn off the lamp. You can consult the sections 10.9.7.1-2-3-4-5 of the UNI EN 12845 Standard.
