Be20 Be20A Be20B Diesel Engine Generator Controller
The Be20 Be20A Be20B Diesel Engine Generator Controller is a compact, DIN-sized 96x96, electronic key start and auto start electronic module. It has been manufactured in over 300.000 pieces in between 1986 to 2004. The module is no longer available but it can be easily replaced by the Be24 generator controller.
The BE20 includes the basic safeguards to protect an engine. The BE20 features 2 push buttons, 8 LEDs, 3 Output Relays, 2 Static Outputs and a 30A Key Switch. The BE20B monitors an Oil Pressure-switch, Temperature-switch, Fuel Level-switch, Charger Alternator Voltage and an Emergency-switch. The BE20 provides a MANUAL operating mode, by means of a 30A Key- switch, and AUTO operating mode by means of the [AUTO] pushbutton. The AUTO operating mode requires an external pilot relay to drive the starting attempts. The Be20 Be20A and Be20B are fully compatible except for the shape of the Key.

You can replace a Be20 Be20A BE20B by adding to automotive-grade relays. This will make the Fuel solenoid outputs and Start outputs of the Be24 capable of driving the necessary solenoids for start and stop. In case you need only manual start, you can directly connect the start pilo solenoid to the termonal #50 of the Be24 controller.

You can replace a Be20 controller with Be24 controller. In this case you must add at least two relasy to drive the FUEL SOOLENOID and STOP SOLENOID connected to the terminals #12 and #13. The Be20 features internal 16A rated relays. The Be24 featires 300mA stort-circuit proof static, positive polarity, outputs.
