The Be124  can simultaneously manage four levels of priorities

1- Scheduler: you can program a time of the day to start & stop the generator

2 - Battery Charge Mode: based on the status of the battery (BE124 starts the engine to charge the battery)

3 - Hardware Remote Start & Stop: via switch placed in a remote location connected to a programmable input

4 - Software Remote Start & Stop: via a computer, mobile phone, Internet,  or any MODBUS RTU demand

SETTING UP THE AUTOMATIC GENERATOR START SCHEDULER(*)

Turn the key to OFF position.  Repeatedly push [←] until the message [ENGINE METERING]  appears on the top of the display. Repeatedly push [ ↓ ] to select the function [USER PARAMETERS]. Push [→]; the following options will appear on the screen: [READ PARAMETERS] [MODIFY PARAMETERS]

1> Push [ ↓ ] to select [MODIFY PARAMETERS] then push [→] to enter the USER menu.

2> Push [ ↓ ] to select [TEST SCHEDULER] then push [→] to enter the menu.

3> Use [ ↑ ] or [ ↓ ] to select a day of the week. Push [→] to enter the START field.

4> Use [→], [ ↑ ] and [ ↓ ] to set HH:MM. Push [→] to enter the STOP field.

5> Use [→], [ ↑ ] and [ ↓ ] to set HH:MM. Repeatedly push [←] to return to the day selection.

6> Do the same in case you want set up additional day(s) of the week. Push  [←] to exit and [ACK] to save.

7>(*) We recommend that you set the Be124 internal clock first  (otherwise it will trigger a CLOCK ERROR alarm after programming the SCHEDULER).

SETTING UP THE AUTOMATIC GENERATOR START (Battery Charge Mode)

To program the AUTO START follow the instructions. Turn the key to OFF position. Repeatedly push [←] until the message  [ENGINE METERING]  appears on the top of the display. Repeatedly push [ ↓ ] to select the function [USER PARAMETERS]. Push [→], the following options will appear on the screen:

[READ PARAMETERS] [MODIFY PARAMETERS]

>Push [ ↓ ] to select [MODIFY PARAMETERS] then push [→] to enter the USER menu.

> Repeatedly push [ ↓ ] to select [AUTO START] then push [→] to enter the menu.

> You are required to set up the following parameters: [LOW BATT. START] [HIGH BAT. STOP] and [TIME OUT].

The AUTO START mode will allow you to automatically charge the battery. You are required to program a LOW BATT start (Be124 will automatically provides a 2 minutes by-pass delay) and HIGH battery stop or TIMEOUT (or both). The engine will stop automatically according to your settings.

Use [ ↑ ] or [ ↓ ] to select a parameter. Push [→] to enter the numerical field.

Use [ ↑ ] and [ ↓ ] to set a value. Repeatedly push [←] to return to the menu.

Generator Auto Start Controller Battery Charger Mode

Setting up the Automatic Generator Start using a programmable input.

You can use up to three programmable inputs by setting up option [12] or [13]. You can use one input with option [12] and one with option [13] for example. The Be124 will automatically manage the priorities.

OPTION [12] Remote Engine Start Description. The Be124 monitors the input only in ‘AUTO’ mode of operation. If you program the option N.O., the engine will start when you connect the input to battery minus. Be124 stops the engine when you open the switch. Program the option N.C. if you want to reverse the logic.

OPTION [13] Remote Genset Start Description. Remote Genset Start (It starts the engine and enables the GCB). Be124 monitors the input only in AUTO mode of operation. If you program option [N.O.], the engine will start when you connect the input to battery minus. Be124 opens the GCB and stops the engine when you open the switch. Program the option [N.C.] if you want to reverse the logic.

 AUTO START PRIORITY MANAGER

Be124 Centurion features an embedded priority manager that complies with UNI-EN ISO8528 standard. Once in Auto mode of operation any local demand of AUTO START will take priority over AUTO START demand via computer. If you start the engine via computer, and in the same time a local demand appears, the remote request will be disabled (except an EMERGENCY stop demand via computer). The Be124 will assign, when engine is running, lower priorities to Auto Start Charge Battery Mode and Auto Start Scheduler.

Turn the key to OFF position. Repeatedly push [←] until the message  [ENGINE METERING]  appears on the top of the display. Repeatedly push [ ↓ ] to select the function [OEM PARAMETERS]. Push [→]; the following options will appear on the screen:

[READ PARAMETERS] [MODIFY PARAMETERS] [ENGINE TYPE]

> Push [ ↓ ] to select [MODIFY PARAMETERS] then push [→] to enter the menu.

> Repeatedly push [ ↓ ] until you select [INPUTS PARAM.] then push [→] to enter the menu.

> Push [ ↓ ] to select [INPUTS PARAMETERS] then push [→] to enter the menu.

> Choose an input by using the [ ↓ ] / [ ↑ ] push buttons

> Push [→] to enter the option field of the input

> Choose the option [12] or [13]  by using the [ ↓ ] / [ ↑ ] push buttons

> If necessary modify the preferences for the inputs (N.O. or N.C.). Option [N.O.] will trigger a start when you close the switch. Push [→] to enter the 'Contact Option' field of the input. Choose N.O. or N.C by using the [ ↓ ] / [ ↑ ] push buttons.

> Push [←] to return to main menu; follows the STEP by STEP instructions that appear on display to save or modify the setting.
