Generator Control Panel Wiring
A generator control panel wiring based on Be24 is a cost-effective, long-term reliability solution for almost all power generators. If you need remote data communication, you can choose a generator control panel wiring based on the Be124 generator controller. You will benefit from the advantages of CAN bus and MODbus. You can easily connect GSM and TCP-IP modules, maintaining a compact and rational wiring.
Control Panel Wiring Explained
The controller monitors the 3-phase voltage via the connections on the removable terminal block JA. For the best performance, we recommend that you connect the neutral wire. In this way, you maximise the power measurement precision. The fuses are recommended for the protection of the wires in case of a short circuit. To get complete generator protection, you must install 3
current transformers. Use a suitable size, according to the generator's power rating. You can set any size of CT up to 1000 amps/5 amps. You can set various settings for overload protection.
To get the most from the protection performances, we recommend that you install a suitable contactor. In this way, the controller will enable the flow of the current only when the electrical parameters of the generator are within reasonable settings. The contactor will open the circuit in case an electrical parameter runs outside the allowed limit. The controller is extremely flexible in Input/output lines. You can connect all kinds of analogue or digital sensors. The terminal JC4 must be connected to get optimal sensor measurement accuracy. In the wiring diagram, you can observe the connection of the pick-up. The controller offers all settings for speed control and protection. As an option, you can get speed measurement through the belt-driven charger alternator "W". The controller features several settings for a safe automatic crank termination. A total of six configurable outputs allows you to adapt the wiring diagram to various applications for a standby generator. The "positive logic" is short-circuit-proof. If your engine features an ECU, you must connect the CANbus port. This drastically simplifies the wiring to the controller. On the removable terminal block JD, you can connect the RS485 cable for remote control monitoring.
